Termly Boarding

Our boarders usually stay in our houses, The Croft and The Cottage during the term, returning home for the school holidays.

Boarding gives our girls the opportunity to enjoy Rye St Antony’s excellent range of educational, sporting and recreational facilities in the evenings and at the weekends.

With our caring and committed house staff on hand at all times, girls are given the opportunity to take part in a full and varied programme of activities to suit their individual interests and talents. Personal achievement, the development of leadership skills and strong inter-personal relationship are all synonymous with boarding full time at Rye.

When the school day is over, pupils can choose from studying independently to exploring a new or favourite interest or activity through our hugely varied selection of clubs on offer. They may also spend time practising a musical instrument or rehearsing for a school drama production.

In the evening and at weekends independent study is supervised by our experienced house team who can offer help whenever needed. Pupils can also access computers safely within the boarding houses and use the King Library until 6.30pm every weekday evening.

Mass is celebrated in the Chapel each Sunday in term-time and girls provide the music and prayers, they act as readers, altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers and sacristans, and they value the opportunity of this focus for the school community and this link with the universal church.

Our termly boarders enjoy a rich and varied life, superb quality food and last but not least, make friends and relationships that last a lifetime.
